The short version: Cue Labs LLC collects only what it needs to run your events and serve your attendees. We do not sell your data. We do not use it to train AI models. You can request deletion at any time.
01
Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly and information generated when you use the platform.
Account information. When you create a Cue account we collect your name, email address, and phone number. If you connect a Stripe account to receive payouts, Stripe collects and stores your financial details — Cue never sees or stores card numbers or bank account information.
Event and order data. When you create events or upload CSV order history, we store that data on your behalf. This includes attendee names, email addresses, ticket purchase amounts, and event metadata.
Scanner activity. When tickets are scanned at your events, we log the scan time, ticket identifier, and the outcome (valid, already scanned, not found).
Usage data. We collect standard web logs including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. This data is used to diagnose problems and improve performance.
02
How we use it
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate and deliver the ticketing and scanning service
- Calculate customer lifetime value (LTV) and RFM analytics for event organizers
- Process ticket payments through Stripe
- Send transactional emails (ticket confirmations, account alerts)
- Send marketing SMS messages to attendees who have explicitly opted in at checkout. Phone numbers collected at checkout may be used for this purpose only when the attendee has checked the opt-in box. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out.
- Diagnose errors and improve platform reliability
- Respond to support requests
We do not use your data or your attendees' data for advertising, profiling unrelated to your own analytics, or to train machine learning models.
03
Sharing your information
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers. We use Stripe for payment processing, Render for cloud hosting, AWS S3 for file storage, and Redis Cloud for session caching. Each provider is bound by a data processing agreement and may only use data to provide services to us.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Cue Labs LLC or others.
- Business transfers. If Cue Labs LLC is acquired or merges with another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before any such transfer takes effect.
04
Data retention
We retain your account data and event history for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we permanently remove your data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it longer (for example, payment records for tax purposes).
Scanner logs and check-in records for a specific event are retained for 12 months after the event date, then automatically purged.
05
Your rights
Depending on where you are located, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your account and associated data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Object to certain uses of your data
To exercise any of these rights, email info@cueup.co from the address associated with your account. We will respond within 30 days.
06
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data: HTTPS for all data in transit, encrypted storage for sensitive fields, and access controls that limit who on our team can reach production data.
No system is perfectly secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at info@cueup.co.
07
Cookies & local storage
Cue uses session cookies to keep you signed in and to scope your data to your organization. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.
Dark mode preference is stored in your browser's localStorage and never transmitted to our servers.
08
Children's privacy
Cue is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
09
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify you by email or with a notice inside the app at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
Continued use of Cue after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
